Not at all! Let God be true, and every human being a liar. As it is written: “So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge.” – Romans 3:4 (NIV)
Have you noticed how easy it is to let the opinions and thoughts of others sway you? Maybe God placed in your heart to invite a new kid at school to sit with your friends at lunch. But your friends tell you not to, and so you listen to them and don’t invite the new kid.
Yet God tells us in His word that he’s true. That means we should be obeying what He says even if we don’t want to or don’t feel like it. But that’s not always easy, is it?
It’s not easy to go against what others think and invite the new kid to sit with you at lunch. It’s not easy to stand up for what’s right when it feels like no one else is. And yet, that’s what we are called as believers to do. We’re called to stand up and be light in a dark world.
Sometimes that looks like standing up for the kid no one likes and other times, it can be doing the right thing when no one else is. In the end, God is true, and everyone else is a liar. We will experience the best things in life when we go after God with all our heart and judge Him to be true.
