Daily Bible Verse and Devotion – Isaiah 45:18

For this is what the Lord says—he who created the heavens, he is God; he who fashioned and made the earth, he founded it; he did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited— he says: “I am the Lord, and there is no other. – Isaiah 45:18 (NIV)

Have you ever thought about the fact that we have hope through our faith in Jesus? Many people who don’t believe in Jesus don’t have hope for life. For many, life is meaningless. Life is just lived for pleasure and pleasing themselves. However, when we have a Biblical perspective on life, we have hope.

Life isn’t just about us, our desires, and our existence. Instead, as we read the Bible, we realize that we were created for more. The earth as we see in today’s verse was not created to be empty, but for a purpose. The earth has a purpose, so what does that say about us?

Today’s Truth: The earth was created with a purpose, and we were too.

It tells us that we too have purpose. We weren’t just created to have fun, make memories, and one day die. Instead, we were created to know the Lord. We were created to know and live out the purpose of our creator God here on the earth.

That should give us hope in life. Why? Because we realize that we get to not only have a creator, but we get to know our creator. We get to love and serve Him and in that, we begin to know our true purpose, our true hope in life. We realize that life is all about knowing Him, and everything else in our world pales in comparison to life with Him.

Questions:
