At school, it always seemed like there were groups. You know, there were the kids that were good at band, or the students that did well at sports, or even the students that did well academically. And it always seemed that there were groups and labels at school. Like you were an athlete, or you were part of this group or that group. As a result, you were often judged and labeled based on who your friends were and what your interests were.
When you get out of high school and move into college, you’re often given a label there too. You’re labeled based on what you study, or as an adult on your career or relationship status.
But here’s the great thing about God, He doesn’t label us.
But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.- John 1:12 (NLT)
There are no groups or labels with God. If you believe in God, and accept Him into your heart, you’re a child of God. It doesn’t matter what you’ve been labeled in the past, with God, you’re simply His child.
And as His child, you’re loved, you’re accepted, and you have value. God sees past what people see and He looks at your heart, and He calls you His!
Today’s Truth: There are no labels with God.
