Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. – John 10:9
Busy, busy, busy. That is a word that most of us would use to describe our lives. We run from band practice, to our job, to school, to home, and our lives are just busy. When we’re not doing, we’re often on our phones, texting, watching videos, or playing games. We’re so busy, that often we don’t have much time for the things of God.
Most of our friends are the same way. They’re so busy doing stuff, that they’ve written off God. They might think they’re a pretty good person, and that they don’t really need God or religion.
The Bible tells us something different than this however. The Bible teaches that there is only one way to God, and that way is Jesus. That means that if we spend our whole lives being busy, but never taking the time to put our trust and faith in Jesus, we wont be saved and experience the goodness He has for our lives.
So today, we should put a priority on knowing Jesus. Yes, our lives may be busy, but Jesus should be a priority in our lives. We should be getting to know Him, and experiencing the goodness that life with Him brings. Decide today to put down your phone and spend a little time getting to know Jesus. Realize that knowing Him is what life is truly all about.
