Daily Bible Verse and Devotion – Isaiah 66:2

Has not my hand made all these things,
and so they came into being?”
declares the Lord.

“These are the ones I look on with favor:
those who are humble and contrite in spirit,
and who tremble at my word.- Isaiah 66:2 (NIV)

When you go to church, do you want to be challenged by God’s word? How about when you read your Bible?

Today’s verse talks about God looking with favor on the people who honor His word. It’s one thing to like it when someone says a Bible verse that encourages you. But what about those verses that challenge you? The ones that inspire you to make changes in your life? Those verses are important too.

You should desire to become more like Christ. Not to earn His love, but because of what He has done. God’s word will challenge you to be more like Him. It will help you to grow into maturity as a believer.

So this week, if you go to church or while you’re reading your Bible, determine to be challenged and honor God’s word. Let it speak into your life and let it change you and make you better.
