“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” – Psalm 46:10
We are so busy in life. We’ve got work, school, friends, family, sports, activities and tons of other stuff we try to cram into a twenty four hour period. Sometimes, it can feel like you’re so busy you hardly have time to breathe.
Today’s Bible verse really challenges our busy lifestyles. It tells us to be still, and know that God is God. How often do we take time to be still? Or when we have a few free minutes, do we fill them with Snapchat, Instagram or texting a friend? What do you think would happen if we took some time out instead and spent being still and learning to listen to God?
God is always wanting to speak to us, guide us, and encourage us. Many times, however, we don’t take the time out of our busy lives to just be still. To slow down and let God speak into our lives. So this week, challenge yourself to be still and just listen to God. Instead of going to text a friend when you’re bored, consider taking those five minutes and listening to God. Take some time out of the busyness to listen to God and find out how awesome He really is.

April 2, 2017 at 8:50 pmThat is what everyone should do and I admit, when I am bored I text a friend or play a game and I don’t take the only 5 minutes in the day for God and that is bad because your not letting him in your life like guiding you to the good things in life instead you might run into things for not listening to him. Maybe for now one we should take those 5 minutes or more and listen to him, let him into your heart and love him.
