Lord, you are my God;
I will exalt you and praise your name,
for in perfect faithfulness
you have done wonderful things,
things planned long ago. – Isaiah 25:1 (NIV)
This week, we’ve discussed a lot about the power of reading the Bible. Today’s let’s focus on the power of praise. There’s something powerful that happens when you begin to praise God.
You might have just had the worst day at school. Perhaps everything is going wrong in your life, and it feels like there’s nothing to praise God for. That’s ok. I’ve been there too. The important thing is to realize that it’s when you’re at your lowest that praise can be most powerful.
As you begin to praise God for what He’s done, praise Him for the world He created, praise Him for each day that you’re here on earth, it helps you. It makes you realize that yes, you might have had a bad day or a bad week, but God is good. He’s there to help you through the trouble you’re facing. And as you praise, it helps you remember God’s goodness.
So today, take some time to praise God. It doesn’t have to be a long thing, a minute or two will do. But remember God’s goodness. Remember the good things that He has done and how much He loves you!
