“Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. – Mark 11:23 (NIV)
Our words matter. However, many times we don’t pay any attention to our words. We just speak out our fear and frustration. We say things like I’m afraid I’m going to fail my finals. I’m never going to get my math homework done, math is just too hard to understand. And while those things may be true to some extent, speaking fear and frustration will not produce good results in our lives.
If we want to experience victory over the challenges we face, we must put take note of our words. In today’s Bible verse is says if you believe what you say will happen, it will be done. So if you speak words of fear and frustration and believe them, those are the results that you will see in your life.
Instead, if you speak words of life over your situation, those are the results you’ll experience in life. Whatever you are facing, choose to find a scripture that deals with that topic and speak life over your situation. As you do that, you’ll experience good results in your life.
