Daily Bible Verse and Devotion – Philippians 4:8

Daily Bible Verse for Teens
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things” – Philippians 4:8

It can be really easy to fall into the trap of thinking about the wrong things. We all do it at times, and before long, if you leave your negative thoughts unchecked, they can lead you to become upset or discouraged.

In the Bible we are encouraged to think on good things. This shows us that there’s power in what you think about. Your thoughts can lead to a change in your actions and direction. The thoughts you think can determine where you go in life.

So choose to redirect your thoughts when you begin to get down on yourself. Replace those negative thoughts with things that are positive, things that God would say about you or the situation you’re facing. By choosing good thoughts, you’re setting yourself up for success in the future!

I like that verse. It has a lot of meaning if you think about it.

I often find myself getting discouraged when I think of my past. Just yesterday I was thinking about some things that I didn’t about three years ago… I didn’t mean to think of it but it drove itself into my mind like a hammer and a nail. I started questioning God saying, i handed it all over to God so why do I have to keep thinking why does it still linger in my mind. I was confused. Then I remembered how God uses time like this to remind us where he has brought us from. He reminds us that where we were is where we no longer have to live. Today is here and tomorrow is gone . He has truly washed me and the job is done.
