Have you ever hidden something? I remember a few weeks ago, I hid a birthday present. I didn’t want the person I was giving it to finding it. So I looked and looked until I found the perfect spot for it, a place I knew they wouldn’t see or think to look.
Hiding something takes some thought and effort. The same is true of hiding God’s word in our hearts. It takes some effort to hide the word in our hearts. It might mean that we have to say no to watching YouTube videos all night long or Snapchatting with friends to get into God’s word.
Hiding God’s word in our hearts is worth the effort because it helps us in those difficult times when we don’t know what to do or where to turn. Many times God will speak to us through His word and give us direction and insight on what to do. Choose today to make hiding God’s word an important part of your daily routine.
